Al-Marashi and Salama have focused their work squarely on the subject of the Iraqi military and do not deviate from that focus during the entire book. The relationships between the army, king, baath party, and Saddam are explained in crisp, clear, detail. Their account also includes little known facts about the Iraq-Iran war, to include the "de-politization" of the Army in the wake of the loss of the Al-Faw peninsula. All in all, an excellent account worth aquiring for personal or reference libraries. Highly recommended!

The book conveys how only a relatively few words can turn a mariage or a life around. The writing is a bit amatuerish but the intent is clear and may be of value to many. I would not classify this book as erotica -- at least not for me.
