Wonderful interactive book for toddlers

I wasn't sure if my 3.5 year old daughter would look at this book for more than a few minutes, but to my delight, she has been picking it up and flipping through it herself, pulling the tabs, peeking in the mirror, and most of all, pushing the musical chip to hear the lullaby at the end. This would make a wonderful baby shower gift as well.

A wonderful baby gift or keepsake for your own family

Although I did not think that this would interest my 4 1/2 year old son, when I took it out of the box, he scrambled up beside me to look at it.
The sticker on the front says, "The ultimate Baby Gift," and I agree.
It's oversized, which makes it easy to share with a child. The interior pages are colorful and interactive:
*with a soft baby blanket and a fuzzy heart to feel
*other pop-up hearts
*a letter to take out of an envelope,
*and a musical chip to listen to.
The book ends with a mirrored insert that excites kids every time they peer in.
I like the text a lot too. It's sweet and affirming, but not overly sappy or trite.
I would think that the target audience would be around two or three years of age (and any woman filled with new-mother hormones), but judging from the reaction that my son had, it could become a traditional favorite that kids might enjoy year after year.

I Love This Book

I got this book as a gift when my son was born and now I buy it for all my friends when they have babies! It's a beautiful book with big, bright pictures that he liked to look at even as a newborn, and the story is so beautiful I couldn't get through it without crying for months! Great gift idea!
